Monadnock Gymnastics Team

Competitive gymnastics is a specialized sport that demands many hours of work and dedication. It is also a passion. We strive to provide a positive and fun atmosphere for our gymnasts. Our goals are to help the girls experience success through personal development and team unity. We create an environment which teaches them to set goals and have fun while learning to work hard to achieve those goals. We believe encouragement from coaches, parents and teammates are vital components in helping gymnasts reach their goals. While on any of our teams, the athletes learn commitment and team work, they make friends and memories and they have experiences that last a lifetime.

We offer competitive and semi-competitive teams in order to fit everyone’s needs and desires.

In House Team

The In House Team is a great place for gymnasts who want to get a feel for competitive gymnastics without the time and financial commitment it takes to be on our competitive team. The In House Team is a program exclusive to our club. Any student enrolled in one of our Intermediate or Advanced classes may choose to participate in this program.

Gymnasts participating in this team will learn routines on each of the four events. During a 6 month commitment, gymnasts will perform those routines in two mock meets, hosted at our gym. Gymnasts will enjoy an awards ceremony at the end of each meet, where each gymnast will receive awards. The meets are not sanctioned by USA Gymnastics and do not include gymnasts from other gyms, the meets are run solely for the MGC In-House Team. Teacher recommendation and/or evaluation required.

Excel Team

Our Xcel Team is a competitive program for girls who want to participate in competitive gymnastics without the extensive time commitment of the traditional Junior Olympic (JO) Competitive teams.

With fewer hours in the gym, our Xcel gymnasts are able to enjoy competitive gymnastics and other activities at the same time without having to choose one activity over another. The Xcel levels are Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum and Diamond. Our Xcel Team practices 2-3 days a week.

Teacher recommendation and/or evaluation required.

Junior Olympic Team

The goal of our JO program is to bring our young athletes to their fullest potential in competitive gymnastics.

This program puts an emphasis on discipline, perseverance, mental awareness, and team unity. We use lots of drills and progressions for a safe and encouraging atmosphere. We train hard but have lots of fun!

Compulsory levels are 3, 4 and 5, where all gymnasts compete the same routines and skills. Optional levels are 6-10 where gymnasts compete their strongest skills and routines choreographed for their personalities. Girls in this program will practice between 9 and 20 hours a week.

Teacher recommendation and/or evaluation required.
